What Our Volunteers Say About St. Ann’s
Kathleen Leo - St. Ann's Volunteer Kathleen Leo comes to St. Ann’s Home every Friday to serve coffee to Residents during social hour. “I don’t know what I’d do if a Friday came and I wasn’t at St. Ann’s,” she says. “I just love being there. I always go home with lipstick on my face!”
Marge Lortie - St. Ann's Volunteer Marge Lortie works every day to help raise money for the Resident Resource Fund, which supports Residents in need by providing the little things that contribute to quality of life. “When Dad had a stroke, we brought him here to St. Ann’s, and they had him walking, talking and eating again. It was an unbelievable recovery. He and Mom had a good life here—so I wanted to give back to St. Ann’s.”
Bob Norton - St. Ann's Volunteer Bob Norton has logged more than 3,000 hours as a volunteer at St. Ann’s Community, helping Residents get to and from their scheduled appointments with Rehabilitation Services and Medical Support Services. “It has to do with wanting to do what is right and good; the desire to help others,” he says. “I’ve been blessed, but recognize that for whatever reason, not everyone is as fortunate as I have been… I know that my contribution will help provide the little extras that brighten Residents’ lives.”
