St. Ann's Staff Success Stories
Here are a few stories from St. Ann's staff and their
career journey's with us.
Rola Omeally
Rola
started at St. Ann's in 1986 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. While working
full time she went to school and took advantage of the TANF Grant offered
to St. Ann's employees and became a Licensed Practical Nurse and then
a Registered Nurse. She is now the Director of Adult Day Services and
Nurse Manager on the Special Care Unit for Dementia. "It has taken a lot
of hard work, dedication and motivation but it has been more than worth
it,"stated Rola. I love to care for people, it's my passion. St. Ann's
Community allowed me to achive my dream of becoming a Registered Nurse."
June Weltzer
June
Weltzer started as a Recreation Therapist 20 years ago. Along with her
Recreation duties she specialized in Music Therapy at both St. Ann's and
the Heritage. June was the driving force behind the Rochester area Nursing
Home Music Festival that lasted for several years. In 2001 she was promoted
to Therapeutic Recreation Manager, and became the Director of the department
in 2003. At any St. Ann's Community Resident function, you can be sure
that June is behind the scenes leading the way.
