Directing Your Gift
By directing your gift to St. Ann’s, you can support a program of your choice, pay tribute to someone special, honor a loved one or friend, or even name an item, room or building at St. Ann’s Community.
Area of Greatest Need
You may choose to allow us to apply your gift to the area in which it will do the most immediate good—whether it’s a technology upgrade that gives our doctors more access to patient information, rehabilitation equipment for physical therapy, opportunities for residents to dine together in the common area on their floor, or memory care advancements in our Cherry Ridge facilities.
Give to the Quality of Life at St. Ann’s Community
Gifts of every size are accepted and appreciated throughout the year. Unrestricted gifts allow us to maintain and improve our facilities, programming and special events.
Memorial Gifts and Tributes
Give a gift in honor of a loved one, a friend or a neighbor. Or acknowledge the special contribution of a St. Ann’s Community doctor, nurse or other caregiver in your family member’s life. Your gift will be included in a list of memorial and tribute gifts published periodically throughout the year.
Leo Center for Caring
When people reach the end of their lives, they deserve a very special level of care. Our new Palliative Center for Caring will provide it. By giving a gift to this new center, you will help us to provide the most advanced and sensitive palliative care in our area.
Person-Centered Care Fund
Our caregivers are finding creative ways to provide our seniors with choice, control of their own schedules, and the freedom and independence they enjoyed in their own homes. This fund allows staff members to make a resident’s life more flexible, restore the ability to enjoy a favorite activity, or simply create a personal schedule that’s in keeping with the resident’s life before St. Ann’s.
Employee Scholarship Fund
As our resident population increases, our employees need to increase their skills and competency to match the more complex situations they see every day. This fund helps to close the gap between our employees personal means and the cost of college tuition, which can exceed $20,000 per year.
Pastoral Care Fund
St. Ann’s is well known for its attention to its residents’ body, mind and spirit. As we serve more people, it becomes more challenging to provide all of our residents with access to a member of the clergy, something many of our residents cherish. Our Pastoral Care Fund allows us to offer a retiring priest a comfortable living situation, while providing a small ministry in which he can carry on the fulfilling, meaningful work he has enjoyed.
Annie’s Angel Fund
This fund makes certain that every resident enjoys the smaller things that contribute to his or her quality of life. Whether it’s a trip to a Red Wings game or a gift at Christmas, this fund brings comfort, contentment and joy to residents who may have limited means or no immediate family.
Our corporate sponsors provide the opportunity to place a company name on any or all three of our major annual events: our spring Wine Tasting, fall Golf Tournament, and our annual donor recognition luncheon, Salute to Philanthropy.
Leave a lasting legacy that honors someone you love with St. Ann’s Naming Opportunities. These opportunities range from the stepping stones on our Chapel Oaks walking path and benches in the garden, to the Rehabilitation Gym at St. Ann’s Home and the Chapel at Cherry Ridge. There are many locations and programs that can become meaningful ways to honor and remember.
We can prepare a list of opportunities that reflect the spirit of your giving intentions. To discuss the range of opportunities available, contact the Foundation office.
