Rehabilitation Care at St. Ann's Community

St. Ann 's Community provides rehabilitative care to the Transitional Care Program (TCP) and all of St. Ann's Community, when medically indicated.

Rehabilitation can include physical, occupational and/or speech therapy, utilizing the latest equipment, newest practices and a team approach. Our staff is on-site, full-time and has received specialized training in a number of state-of-the-art techniques, including:

  • NDT stroke patient care, allowing the therapist to maximize the neurological and functional recovery of our stroke patients.
  • Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), allowing our speech pathologists to provide immediate, on-site assessment of swallowing and recommendations for the safest possible eating/feeding plan.
  • Specialized wound care certification.

The Director of Rehabilitation Services at St. Ann 's Community, Sharon Osborne, has a B.S. in Physical Therapy from Daemen College , an M.S. in Health Systems Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology, and certifications in Manual Lymph Drainage, Decongestive Physical Therapy, and Neurodevelopmental Training (NDT).

When medically indicated, Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Preferred Care, Medicaid or private insurance covers most rehabilitation care.
