About St. Ann’s Angels
Become a member of St. Ann's Angels, a volunteer fundraising group that sponsors events, such as the annual Wine Tasting and other fundraising events. The dollars they raise goes to the Annie's Angel Fund, which provides support to Residents in need, enhancing their ability to enjoy a better quality of life in their senior years.
When Marge Lortie visited St. Ann’s Home to take her mother and father out for lunch or for a walk in the park, she noticed something that made her think.
Other Residents would say to her parents, “You’re going out again?” Marge began to realize that many Residents didn’t have family members to take them out for an afternoon, or money to do little things they would enjoy.
The fact is that many Residents of St. Ann’s do not have discretionary funds they can use to buy a new pair of shoes, get their hair done or attend a ball game or a movie. Marge took matters into her own hands and founded Annie’s Angels, a volunteer organization that raises funds to take residents on outings, hold special events for their entertainment, and do the little things for them that make their lives more fun.
Annie’s Angels purchased the flower cart you see in the photo. This wonderful group of women gives Residents the opportunity to go out to a ball game at Frontier Field, or to lunch at their favorite restaurant as well as attend cultural events in Rochester.
You can help! Annie’s Angels raise funds through special events - like the successful Harvest Card Party in the fall, and St. Ann’s Angels Tea. The money they raise goes to the Annie's Angel Fund, which provides support to Residents in need and enhances their ability to enjoy quality of life in their senior years.
