St. Ann’s Community welcomes Sabrina McLeod as Director of Financial Reporting. Sabrina holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Health Care Finance from SUNY Brockport and B.S. in Business Administration and Communication from Houghton College. Sabrina lives in Greece, NY.

St. Ann’s Home has earned a Five Star Rating from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS). The Five Star Rating is the highest rating possible for skilled nursing facilities and puts St. Ann’s in the top tier of nursing homes nationwide.
Christine Schroeder, RN of Angelica, NY was recently hired as the Eighth Floor Nurse Manager. In her new role, Schroeder is responsible for overseeing the nurses and certified nursing assistants who work on the floor, as well as developing care plans for each of the residents and addressing any resident and family needs. Previously, Schroeder was employed at East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as the Director of Nursing.

St. Ann’s Community recently elected a new member to St. Ann’s of Greater Rochester Inc. Board of Directors: Michelle Ashby, CEO of Tipping Point Communications.
St. Ann’s Community in an alliance with Rochester General Health System (RGHS), launched the Rochester General Wound Healing Center, an outpatient facility dedicated to providing advanced care to patients with complex or hard-to-heal wounds. The Wound Healing Center opened on November 20th and is located on the Irondequoit campus of St. Ann’s Community, 1500 Portland Ave., across the street from Rochester General Hospital. It is the first center located in eastern Monroe County, dramatically improving access for area patients.
Greater Rochester Health Foundation (the Health Foundation) awarded St. Ann’s Community a grant of up to $484,000 to support the development of HeartMatters. This specialized cardiac rehabilitation program will treat patients recovering from congestive heart failure, heart attack, bypass surgery or other forms of heart disease.
Donyale L. Johnson of East Irondequoit was recently hired as a Finance Billing Manager. Johnson is responsible for overseeing billing and receivable functions. Previously, Johnson was employed at CP Rochester as a Finance Billing Manager.

The March of Dimes had its 3rd Annual Nurse of the Year Awards Gala on Friday, September 20th at The Rochester Riverside Convention Center. St. Ann’s Community/Leo Center for Caring Employee Deborah Sigrist, RN, BSN, CHPN was nominated in the Geriatrics/Hospice & Palliative Care category by her Nazareth College Professor, Dr. Mary Mahr. Sigrist is a resident of Rochester and is one of 4 finalists in this category. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday evening.

On July 9, the Monroe County Legislature recognized St. Ann’s Community President and CEO Betty Mullin-DiProsa for being named the 2013 recipient of the Lawrence E. Larson Memorial Award of Honor. Monroe County Legislature President Jeffrey R. Adair and Legislator Dr. Joe Carbone presented Mullin-DiProsa with an official county proclamation.

Betty Mullin-DiProsa has been selected as the recipient of the 2013 Lawrence E. Larson Memorial Award of Honor. The Larson Award is LeadingAge, New York’s highest award given. This prestigious honor is given to someone for their distinguished service, dedication and foresight in aging services. The individual has to have made outstanding contributions to the field and is a recognized leader at the state and national level, with a reputation for humanitarian achievement and professional vision. Betty will be given the Lawrence E. Larson Award in May at the LeadingAge Annual Conference in Saratoga Springs.
